Most people would rather sit by a crying baby on an airplane instead of someone who smells bad:
Health.com's list of good and bad foods for trying to fall asleep:
Good: Turkey. It has a chemical that can make people doze off in front of the TV after Thanksgiving dinner, as does milk. But, you’d have to have a lot of milk or turkey to have a major effect if you’re an insomniac.
Bad: Mountain Dew. Per 12 ounces, Mountain Dew can have up to 71 milligrams of caffeine. That’s the near the high limit of what the Food and Drug Administration even allows.
Good: Sweet potatoes. They’re like a sleeper’s dream. Not only do they provide sleep-promoting carbohydrates, they also contain muscle-relaxing potassium.
Bad: Curry. The heavy spices can keep you awake at night, and can also cause heartburn.
Good: Valerian Tea. It's one of the best foods for sleep. The root of the Valerian plant has been shown in some studies to speed the onset of sleep and improve sleep quality.
Bad: Chicken. It's one of the worst, in fact. Any type of protein is going to be counterproductive if consumed at night. Digestion is supposed to slow but with chicken, you digest more slowly.

Last Wednesday, when the Powerball jackpot was at $360 million, a woman in California was sure she'd won. She matched all of the numbers and the Powerball, but kept hearing reports that no winning tickets were sold. It turns out she bought her ticket 52 minutes AFTER the drawing, so it was for Saturday's Powerball drawing instead.

Which snack is worse at the movies from ivillage.com:
Popcorn vs. Nachos with Cheese
Answer: Nachos with Cheese is worse! Bright-orange artificial cheese that’s high in saturated fat is what you get with a serving of nachos. Instead, get a small popcorn without the fake ‘butter’ topping and you’ll get one serving of whole grains.
Hot Dog vs. Corn Dog
Answer: Hot Dog is worse. Either the hot dog or the corn dog will set you back about 200 to 300 calories. But typically, the coating on a corn dog is made from some type of corn, which is a whole grain, so it has slightly more nutritional value than the white bun. Just slightly...
Twizzlers vs. Junior Mints
Answer: Twizzlers! The Junior Mints have a tiny advantage over the Twizzlers because they are covered in some semblance of dark chocolate, and research has shown that mint flavoring curbs appetite, so you may not feel the need to eat the whole box.
Sweet Iced Tea vs. Lemonade
Answer: Lemonade is awful for you! The lemonade just doesn’t have anything to offer besides sugar. Iced tea at least provides some antioxidants from the tea leaves. An even better choice: Ask for unsweetened iced tea, which is increasingly available and won’t set you back any calories.
You've got chances all week long to win dinner for two at The Reserve Steakhouse inside Harrah's Casino! We played it this morning, and Joel Ludtke of New Lenox was caller #9! Just listen for the sound of the jackpot throughout the day to win!

Josh grew up in Rockford, and came to Naperville in 2001 to attend North Central College. When he began hosting Star 96.7 middays in 2006, he brought with him a love of music, and his wife, whom he met in high school. Now that he's hosting mornings, he spends his afternoons playing with his dog and taking care of his “honey-do” list.
When Josh isn't on the air, he enjoys watching movies, collecting records, playing guitar, grilling, and watching the Cubs, Bulls, Bears, and Blackhawks. Some of his favorite Star 96.7 artists are John Mayer, Coldplay, Kelly Clarkson, and Andy Grammer.

Anna grew up in Bolingbrook, and traveled all the way down Weber Road to attend North Central College. The latest addition to the Star 96.7 family, Anna brings a love of cats, unicorns, and rainbows. She also loves music, which comes in handy working at Star 96.7!
When Anna isn't on the air, she enjoys going to concerts, watching movies, buying things on eBay, eating Taco Bell, and playing with her beagles. Her talents include dancing (poorly), singing (not poorly), and doing impressions (poorly). Her favorite Star artists include Taylor Swift, Green Day, Coldplay and Maroon 5.
